My Three Little Scary Skeletons!

This year I guess you could say I was lazy! I usually get so into this holiday and get them all pumped to be their character. But ever since Tuck was in the hospital before school I have had a harder time catching up and most of our plans for the summer went out the drain and so I still feel behind. I guess that is my excuse. So I went to walmart and Austin fell in love with the skeleton costume and then of course younger brother thinks he needs to be one also. So I grab those and then think well will Tuck feel left out so I grab him one not knowing what he thinks because he is at school. I knew he would like it he has always like skeletons. So sure enough I get home and they want to wear them everywhere! Needless to say nearly every day we have been dressing as skeletons. So I took some pictures the other night when we got home from the Holloween Carnival at the school. So cute, they were all playing dead! :) I love these three boys so much and how fun they are!! Wouldn't trade them for anything!

What are we doing today?

I tell you what this boy keeps me busy and then some! Everyday he wants to know what we are doing and what the plans are. I sometimes have not even thought about what we are going to do and that bugs him. He then wants to fill my day with going to some friends house and going to the park, or tells me we can then go visit grandma in Idaho. He just can not wait for me to tell him we have nothing planned. I love how he keeps me on top of things. Even around the house, he will say "do you want me to water the plants, I think it is time?" I just smile and let him. He loves to always be doing something and usually it doesn't matter what it is just as long as he is busy!! I don't know what I am going to do next year when he starts kindergarten. From then on they are never home like this again. Sometimes I don't feel like sending him to preschool because he is my little helper and follows me around the house, it is lonely without him! I love him so much!!

I love you too mom!

Over the years I have been making sure that every day I tell each of my children that I love them. I made it a goal and I can honestly say it has been easier then I thought it would be! I am sure as they get older and that age where it isn't cool to tell your family that you love them and give them hugs will come. I hope it never happens but in an effort to make those years a little easier I tell them and show them every day! Well something else I am doing is making sure I add there name. Not just I love you, I say " I love you Bryson." Well Bryson has just always said " I love you too." But because I have been adding their names. Bryson now says " I love you too mom" and I love to hear that! It is adorable and I wish I could make time stand still for that moment! I for sure am going to get it on video! He is growing so fast and talking so much, which sometimes has to be translated by his older brother Austin, who seems to know exactly what he is saying! :) Brys is such a fun kid, he is always smiling and laughing and is always up for a good tease! He brings a smile to my face at even the early hours in the morning which is his norm! My little early bird!

Afraid of losing his mom!!

I have to tell you that this was a very touching moment for me! I had to pick the kids yesterday from school. ( I usually take them in the mornings and a friend picks them up) Anyway we are headed home and Tuck's buddies in the car start talking about the Carnival last night and how they are all excited about going. Tuck then mentions how he is worried for his little brothers who will be scared. Irritated Austin then speaks up and says "I am not going to be scared, I am not scared of anything." Then Nathan says everybody is scared of something. Then they proceed to talk about the things that they are scared of and Tucker then says " I am scared of losing my mom." I just about stopped the car and got out to give him a hug! He is always trying to be so tough and lately has been starting with the whole rolling the eyes thing and getting short with me. I have been frustrated at times about what have I done to get such a stinker. Wondering where my sweet little boy has gone!! Yet yesterday just melted my heart. I love him so much and feel so blessed to be raising such a gift from Heavenly Father!

Had to add the kids

Ok so I didn't add these earlier but so many have let me know they like them that I decided to add them on the blog. Like I said it was a beautiful place and they were so easy to take pictures of that day. Probably won't get so lucky next time! Let me know what you think! Suggestions are always good for a fresh one! :)

Canning Canning and more Canning

Ok so first I canned salsa with a friend (Melanie) she is awesome at this kind of thing!! She is also a great cook! I've thought about adding her recipe for pumpkin cookies to my blog. They are soooo good! I actually made them tonight. Anyway she helped me get started and then a few days later I made two more batches. We have already had 6 or 7 jars. We love salsa! This stuff is really good too! Then I made canned some raspberry jam. Then on to applesauce! Talk about a nightmare! I did 40 some jars and it was in three different times. That is alot of work! My kids love the stuff but maybe not appreciate it like I do now that I have put so much work into it! Mike was such a good helper too with the first two batches. The last one I did on my own! Then I canned some tomatoes. We had alot of tomatoes this year. I will have to get a picture of all our produce this year out of our garden! That is such a great feeling when you have worked hard and you see the fruits of your labor! I have enjoyed canning and am going to start on peaches tomorrow! Wish me luck!

We took pictures of my sister also

Colleen is doing so good! I am proud of the progress she is making and we are trying to get her far enough and feeling comfortable enough to take the plunge to go to school. I think it would be so good for her! She could make so many amazing friends and gain so much just from the experience alone! So we are praying for her!! Anyway we went just around the corner by their house and took some pictures of her. She is so cute!! I pray for her continued recovery everyday! I see the Lord's hand in her progress and we have so much to be thankful for!! The Lord must really have something in store for her!!

Home for the weekend

I mean really how can you get any cuter than that?! We went to Idaho for my little nephews baby blessing and oh he is adorable! SO good natured and sweet! It almost made me baby hungry:) I tried to take some good pictures of him and we did ok but I think I need to practice on little ones like this more! Anyway the kids had so much fun playing with their cousins!

General Conference Weekend in the Beautiful Cottonwood Canyon

We love conference it was so good and just the things I need to hear!! We took a ride the last session on Sunday and decided to take some family pictures in Little Cottonwood Canyon. The colors were beautiful!! The kids were all happy and eveyone was having fun!! Mike gave me a camera for christmas two years ago and I have loved it! It takes the best pictures. I need to take some classes and learn how to use it properly! It can do so many things I don't even know. I am going to learn when the kids are alittle older and maybe even become professional. Who knows. I have big plans for when the kids are in school. None of them envolve cleaning the house! :) So we decided not to have our pictures done professionally this time and do them ourselves and I must say they are my fav! It was so much fun and I honesly can't believe how much better the kids were for the pictures. Last time we had a hard time getting anyone to smile or even look at the camera. So this was much more fun! I did take individual pictures and would love to put them all on but better not. :) So let me know what you think!

Bryson wants to go to school

Brsyon really wants to be like his older brothers, going to school. When I take Austin to preschool he runs and grabs his backpack and heads for the door. It is the cutest thing ever! I love watching him get so excited over things. I would love to take him to Disneyland right now! He would be so much fun to watch. Life just so simple to him is the funnest thing (like going to the grocery store, getting the car washed, taking a walk to get the mail). It seems like all of the things that are such a drag to me are the most fun to him. He is my little buddy right now, he follows me around the house waiting for me to give him something to do. Austin was like that too for along time but it has wore off him. We are so blessed to have these three boys they are so much fun and I love every day with them. I love having boys but I really would love a girl also! We want to have one more or so we think but then we are alittle nervous for fear we would get another boy. I HONESTLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITH ANOTHER BOY! We have got the drill down around the home BUT there is a lot of testosterone in the air too and I am in nooooo hurry for them to grow up. The burping and wrestling are already out of control around here. Can you imagine what it will be like when they are older. We have a rule that if you burp loud at the table you are the first one to go to bed. Mike sometimes tries to burp loud just so he can get sent to bed. See what I mean. We need a girl to balance things out around here!! It is amazing that they come so differently at such a young age! Bryson has noooo problem keeping up!
