Need some ideas!!

Have you ever had a plan to do something and got already to do it and it starts to dwindle right before your eyes because of funds!!?? We have been saving for a concrete path to go around our half acre so Tucker could get around in his chair. Well it seems like things keep coming up and we haven't been able to put it together. Let alone the time. So I have been studying out ideas and ways I could get him around in our yard without it costing a fortune.

I have a neighbor that did a clay rock path in theirs and it is pretty. I just hope it is maintance free!! We took Tucker over there and tried it out to see if he could use it without getting stuck. I was surprised that he was able to do it really well!! I have been trying to get ideas going and think I am going to do the rocks and make hedges on the sides of the path. Still not sure, I was hoping if any of you had some good ideas or any idea at all we could sure use them!! Any ideas for edging a rock path also!!??

My brother is coming from Idaho to help us on Monday and I am so grateful for his help!! Mike has been so busy this summer that he hasn't had time to work on anything hardly!! I so appreciate his help!! The thought of being in this house much longer and not having a way for my son to get around in it or be independant is sending me crazy!!

He will be turning 10 this month and I want to finish it for him!! He is already pretty much done with summer now. Two days ago he broke his foot. :( He has braces he wears and I thought those things protected his feet pretty good but the other day he took them off and we found a big black and blue spot on the bottom of his foot. Took him in and sure enough broke!!

He doesn't feel it thank heavens but at the same time that is what created it!! It has been so hard for me to keep him off of it! Since he doesn't feel it, he thinks he can do his normal stuff. Now he is sittting on the couch with it propt up. We have to watch it for alittle over a week and then have another x ray to see how it is healing if it isn't doing good he will have surgery and have a pin put in it. He is such a trooper and I hope he will still enjoy the next three weeks before school starts!!

Here are some pictures of some pathways with rocks. As you can tell we need some ideas!!

Lots of catching up!!

Oh man am I totally behind!! This summer has just been flying by!! I can't believe it is the middle of July already!! We have been so busy!! I keep thinking at some point we have to slow down and take a breath!! We started out this summer with Austin having a piano recital. He has loved the last two months of piano lessons!! He is doing really good and I don't have to tell him to go practice!! I was so proud of him at his recital!! He got right up there and played it, even memorized it! He was also the very first one on the program!! Yes I was proud!! He played This Old Man.

Well during that week Grandma Rady came and stayed with us for a week and we went and saw the movie UP. Kids really liked it!! She is a first grade school teacher and so she worked with the kids in their reading and phonics. They liked having grandma here!! Thanks for visiting Grandma!!
My boys have been having a lot of fun right here in the backyard! I can't believe that these two swimming pools with a little slide can keep them happy!! They are getting so tan from being out in the sun so much!! They really do love being outside and believe it or not they are really learning to get along better!! At the first of the summer there was a lot of arguing and egos. Here lately they have been laughing hard together and learning how to talk to one another. We really haven't had friends over much and I think that that has helped them learn how to play with each other and be nicer to one another. I don't know but I really am liking it!! :) Tucker loves the water and goes to the bottom every time!! :)

We have been so busy going to and from Idaho to visit family and I took my sisters bridal pictures. Wow what a learning experience that was!! It started to get dark fast so we might try another day again but for now some of them turned out pretty good. Gotta learn some more for sure!! (I will show some on the next post.)

We had a fun 4th of July, my mom came and brought my brothers kiddos and we played in the water again and went to the parade and to the rodeo that evening and watched the fireworks. It was a fun day and we were able to spend it all with Mike this year! In the years past he has had to work either a night shift or the day shift. So that was a blessing!!
This one was pouting because he didn't get the candy that was thrown one time, it is tough being three I say!! :)

Kreid (my nephew) loving the slide!!
Austin liked it also!!
Navey (my niece) not so sure she wanted to go but then went down backwards and loved it!

Bryson went to the bouncing thing instead and LOVED it and didn't want to get out. Austin had to drag him out!! So here is another pouting shot!! This last weekend we went to Idaho and stayed at both grandparents place, the kids had a blast! They rode the four wheelers and horses.
Tucker loves to give rides!! He is so free on one and can go anywhere he wants! He looks so big to me having so much fun!! It amazes me how fast these boys are growing up!! Bryson loves to ride the horses and didn't want to get off!! This picture of him and grandpa is priceless to me!! Then of course there is no one better looking than my sweetie on a horse!! He looks HOT!! :) (Sorry sweetie couldn't help it!!)

Grandma had a small blue four wheeler that the boys have used well she had the guy bring out another one to the house while we were there and try a little bit bigger one for the boys. Boy they loved it!! Austin that night in his prayers asked that grandma would keep the red four wheeler. :) The next morning he said "mom I just can't stop thinking about that four wheeler it is so cool!!" Oh to be a boy and love the toys!! :) I also noticed how grown up he is getting lately!! Oh how I love these boys and wish they would stay small!! I love spending time with them and watching them learn and grow and be happy playing!!

Mike really has been working a lot lately I hope this next month is better!! Hope you are all having a fun summer!! Here is a good laugh!! Bryson really wants to be like his older brothers. They had gotten their goggles out and so the next thing I know Bryson comes out with these on!! I never laughed so hard!! Upside down and broke just doesn't even bother him!! I don't even think he can see out of the one eye!! :) He always brings a smile to my face with his craziness!!
