Update on Tucker

I just had to write and let everyone know that the surgery that Tucker had in Dec. has been a huge success. We still have had a few accidents but for the last two months it has been awesome! We are now doing every other night and it has been going good!! In the beginning it was questionable, it was a big change from our old routine to an hour a night or more but now it is every other night and it is around 8 or 9 and we are doing much better!! Got it down and he is glad we did it!!

For those of you who were wondering what it is, it is called the MACE procedure. It stands for this Malone Antegrade Continence Enema. It is where they placed a catheter tube in through his appendix to his belly button where he has a little white button or snap like thing that he can open and close. We hang a bag of water, 1,000 cc's and hook it too his tube and it empties into his abdomen in about 15 to 20 minutes and then he waits on the toilet for 45 minutes to make sure he is empty. He can then go a whole two days like this without going again!!!! That is a true joy for us to be in control!! He didn't have a ton of problems in this area until about the last year and it has been hard to predict or work on or change!!

This has been a wonderful thing because he shouldn't have anymore accidents!! We are liking it so far and the older he gets to be able to tell some more things, it will be even better!! For me it has been a huge weight taken off!! There have been far too many frustrating days with trying to make sure he ate the right things or trying to make sure I got his stool softener in when he needed it only to find out he would sometimes be a mess right after or two days later. It has not been fun and he has had some embarrassing moments that he would not want to relive for sure!! So he has loved it also!! It is a time where I let him play his DS and he loves that of course!!

We are just so glad it is working out and , it is reversible. I have had several people who have asked me about it because they were considering it. I am here to tell you it is the greatest thing we have done for him this far!! We would do it over again!!

I can try and answer any questions you might have and would be happy to tell you more if you need!! Just let us know!!

This is a picture of him with his mattress on the floor because it was after his surgery. He loves to read and so I went in one night to shut off his light and found him asleep with his book on his face. Couldn't resist getting a picture!! :)

This is his favorite place to eat, we don't go very often only on major occasions for him! :) But this time Austin picked it for his birthday and boy was Tucker happy!! He is such a joy to have and I feel blessed to be his mom!! He is always teaching me something!!

So glad that we have loved it so far!! You know for these special little ones you always pray with everything you have that you are making the right decision for them and wanting the best. I have often wondered so many times if we were doing the right thing!! But I have really learned over the years is if you are doubting and not feeling really good about it you hold off and get more information or study it out more or pray harder!! Then if you do you go forward with faith. If you don't you hold off!! That has been a blessing to recognize how the Lord speaks to us!! It is never easy when it comes to your children but we do have guidance and boy am I grateful!! This one has been a blessing!!

Once again thank you family and friends for all your thoughts and prayers on our behalf!! We have been blessed!! We love you and love to hear from you! Leave a comment!!

Happy Birthday Bryson!!

My Baby turns 4 today!! Oh how sad it is!

I know he is excited only every time I tell him it is nap time he says "mom I don't want to grow bigger!"

I need to figure out a way to get another one here quicker than I thought!! I love these boys so much and want to add to our family but for many reasons they are not coming. I have endometriosis, they tell me I should be lucky that I have three. I have really low platelets and other things going on with my blood and have had two miscarriages and our three boys. So we are thinking we might have to adopt or something to add. I always wanted a large family but in the beginning we were both a little overwhelmed and see the Lord's wisdom in giving us some time!! :)
Needless to say Bryson is our joy for sure!! He gives us a run for our money! He knows how to defuse contention, whenever we start to get all upset he knows how to bring a smile to your face by the things he says or by his actions. He always has a smile on his face and he is just so much fun to be around. He is silly and he is a HUGE tease to his brothers. He thinks everything in life should be and could be funny, if only everyone else could see humor the way he does.

I love his hugs and his sweetness also. He will just come up to me and give me a hug and kiss and tell me he loves me!! He is so sweet to me and tells me "I will eat your good food mom" when everyone else is complaining about what we are eating! :)

He is innocent and sincere and honest and I love all these things about him!!

He loves to play dress up and be all kinds of heroes!! He gets so into his character and will jump off buildings and throw webs on people and fly high in the sky. Always "going really super fast!!"

One thing about Bryson is that because he is the little brother he always wants to be doing anything and everything that his older brothers are doing!!!! Even going to school!! He is usually into all sorts of stuff and if you don't hear anything usually (most all the time) that means trouble and you better go a running!! Sure enough one morning got out of the shower and found this. . .With a Face like this . . .and him saying "I didn't do it". . . ahhhhmmmmm!!

Then of course, I always feeling like doing this. . . . . . .

in some way or another!!! Wouldn't that be nice!! :)

I have so many pictures of him sticking his tongue out, not quiet sure why he does it but he does!!

So at last I thought I would show you (some) of what his personality is like!! He is a joy and I love him so much and am glad that Heavenly Father sent me this little ball of energy to learn from!! He lightens our family up and makes life more enjoyable!

Happy Birthday Bryson, We love you!!

LoVE of THe MaN in My liFe!!

I so often think I am so lucky to have this amazing person in my life, who looks after his family, who loves us no matter what, who tries so very hard to provide an amazing living for us, who is patient even when I don't deserve it, who smiles even when the clouds are hanging over us. He respects me and loves me for me!! I don't feel like I could have gotten any better of a man than the one I have!! The problem is I know I don't tell him enough or show him enough just what he means to me! SO this post is dedicated to the LoVE of My LiFe!!

First of all I want you to know All the things I love about this Man! 1st thing is he is very patient with me (most of the time). He knows when to speak his mind and when to walk away. That amazes me, I need to learn from this. Sometimes I am so stickin mad I want him to hear every word but he is good he just walk away and gives me the time I need to cool. :)

2nd, He is such an amazing provider of our family.!! I knew from the time I was young I wanted to be a stay at home mom. I knew I had to find someone who shared that idea with me. He has made it possible so that I can stay at home and care for our children. I love this because I know he is working hard to do so and I appreciate that he allows me to be a mom! What a gift that is to me and what a sacrifice it is for him!! Thank you!! It means the world to me!

3rd, He allows me to learn and grow without criticism. I love this about Mike, I think it goes along with his patience. He loves me for who I am and allows for me to make mistakes and loves me in spite of my down falls and short comings!!

4th, He notices the moments that I need some time, as we women call it (a break). He will then pick up and take the slack, like coming in and helping in the kitchen from dishes to cooking, or fold laundry. I so appreciate that he tries hard to lighten my load when he notices that I need him to do that!
5th, He is a kind and gentle man. He is sincere about who he is and what he stands for. I love this about him, you always know what is important to him! It is the good things, like his family and spending time with them, his callings in the church, his love for the Savior, his dedication to us and our Father in Heaven is the most important thing to him and I love this!!

6th, He is a hard worker! He has always been stalwart in providing for us and doing his best at it! I have appreciated his dedication to his job and even co workers. He is kind when they need a hand he picks up their shift for them and never complains. He is not a complainer and I love this also! He is still going to school to provide even better (which seems impossible to me) for us. It amazes me all that he does through the week and still makes time for us!! I love him for this!

All these things and many more make him an amazing man in my life!! I feel blessed by him and want him to know how much I love him! I have come up with some things I could do better or work on to make our relationship stronger. I think we (women) sometimes forget these important little things mean a lot to our men. So I am going to write down somethings that I had come to my mind that I realized are not any new or wonderful things but they are things I have realized I am not doing enough or even doing it at all! I will be the first to say life can be so stickin crazy and we are feeling abit like we are running in circles between our children's needs, the house work, the duties of being a wife, mother and daughter of God!! BUT I thought about these simple things and how often I am doing them and I know they are not enough. So I am going to work on them this year to make things so much better and to be the woman He deserves!!

Call him during the day and thank him for working so hard to provide for our family.

Give him attention when he arrives home, (Mike will love this one!)

Hug him more often and longer.

Pray for him more then I do.

Make him his favorite meal or wear his favorite outfit.

Text or email him to say I love you!

Give him some time for himself.

Tell him he is a great dad!

Do something impulsive (this one is never easy for me)

I just think sometimes we take for granted each other and often forget why we even got married. I remember thinking there is nothing that will tear us apart, when we first got married and we had dated for so many years I couldn't wait to be with him!! And we do have a great marriage and I am grateful for that but it is amazing how through work and kids and craziness of life in and all around you, how you can lose each other sometimes! I am realizing, watching the kids grow how time flies and you can't get that time back. (My next post is going to be about my little Byrson who is turning 4 on Monday, crazy!) I want to take advantage of every day and every opportunity to let him know I love him and appreciate him!! I feel blessed to have such a great man in my life you loves me!! I love you Mike! Happy Valentine's Day!!

Lifting-Burdens

Lifting-Burdens

I have been thinking so much today about my new found friend through the blogging world!! I have come to really love her and her family!! I have been blessed by them and their faith to go forth!! Christine was diagnosed in November with a brain tumor and she has been fighting ever since!! This morning I got word that they are going to leave it in the Lord's hands!! I know that they are doing the right thing by giving it to the Lord!! But it takes so much great faith and love to allow the Lord to take charge of our ships!! He is there for us and is waiting to bless our lives we just have to allow Him in!!
I have talked with Christine many nights on the phone and emailed back and forth nearly everyday ever since and I have prayed many times over them and thier family!! My heart feels for them and wants the very best for them!! I pray that the Lord will carry them through this trial in their lives and help them feel peace from the burden!! When they told me peace filled my heart and I know that blessings will come and they will see the Lord's hand in their lives!!

I am proud to know them and love them dearly and want the very best for them!! I appreciate them letting me walk with them through this and feel I have learned so much from them!! Thank you for sharing your lives with me!!

I found this on our church website and felt I needed to share it with you!! It reminded me of you and I pray you will feel of my love for you!! Please keep Christine and her family in your thougths this day and pray that all may be well with them!! I have been blessed in my life by many of you my friends and feel I have gained from all of you !! Thank you for all you do for me and my family !!
